PA Dutch Hooded Cradle in 1:12 Scale
The handles or slots on the cradle were to ease in carrying the cradle from place to place. The rockers were rocked by the fire with the mother's foot while she did family sewing or other tasks. The Hood of the cradle was to keep drafts out.
