Dry Sink in 1:12 Scale
The difference between a wet sink and a dry sink are, the wet sink was lined with copper or tin in a wooden cabinet. The dry sink was not lined with metal at all but would have been lined with what they could have quarried in their area, such as Vermont was soapstone. The dry sink came about in the colonial days when they would bring buckets of water in from the outside to do their daily chores. Sometimes the dry sink was located in the mudroom or laundryroom if they had one. Our kitchens did not change much until the 1920's .
